Traditional Childcare

Our traditional childcare program serves children from infancy (6 weeks) through 5 years old. Our curriculum is literature based and incorporates the following foundations of learning: social-emotional, approaches to learning, language & literacy, physical & health development, mathematics, science, and creative arts.

Infants

(6 weeks - 18 months)

Our infants are cared for by our trained staff that will give your baby the attention and love they deserve while also helping them meet important milestones.

Social-emotional

Quality of care is largely dependent on the trust relationship between your child and the caregiver. In our infant environment, our consistent staff creates a safe and loving environment where your child can thrive.

Approaches to Learning

Through exploration, young children learn about the world around them. With a wide variety of materials for your child to explore, they will develop a curiosity for the world around them.

Language & Literacy

Language is one of the most important ways we can interact with your child. Through songs, fingerplays, and stories, early language skills are enhanced for your child's benefit.

Physical & Health Development

Your child changes so much in the first few years of life. By creating a safe and nurturing environment, your child can thrive in every way! Our infant class goes outside daily and has many indoor activities to promote physical activity.

Mathematics

At our learning center, we believe it is important to start exposing children early to important concepts. Infants learn concepts such as one to one correspondence - each child needs one bottle, one disc fits in one slot, and so much more.

Science

Science is explored through safe activities like water play. In our infant class, we foster an environment where young children can learn early science concepts through real experiences and play.

Creative Arts

Our infants explore creative arts through different artistic processes. Creativity is present in all children, and it is important to cultivate an understanding and appreciation for creative arts starting from a young age.

Toddlers

(18 months - 3 years old)

In our toddler class, we strive to help your child become confident in their ability to express themselves while becoming independent. Our curriculum is literature based, and focuses on developmentally appropriate foundations of learning such as social-emotional, approaches to learning, language & literacy, cognitive development, physical health, mathematics, science and creative arts.

Language & Literacy

As our curriculum is literature based, books are the foundation of all other aspects of our curriculum. Our staff regularly engage our toddlers in group reading time, and encourage toddlers to explore books independently. Learning to speak and understand are huge growth areas for toddler aged children.

Mathematics

Building on the concepts learned in the infant room, we encourage pattern recognition and repetition in our toddler classrooms. In our toddler classroom we strive to forge a strong foundation in mathematics. Patterns, measurement and numbers are the focus in the toddler classroom.

Knowledge, skills and methods are foundational to our science curriculum. In our toddler classroom, our children engage in scientific exploration through a variety of teacher-led lessons. As toddlers are beginning to become more inquisitive of the world around them, exploration is the key to many of our science activities.

Social-emotional

A child learns easily and successfully when they feel a secure attachment to their caregiver. Through our consistent and caring staff, children are able to develop their social skills - how to handle conflict, how to ask for help, greeting someone, inviting a child to play and more are an important part of our literature based curriculum.
